Clothes to Kids

IRC clients with school age children can receive free clothing items for their children from a store called “Clothes to Kids.” IRC staff can coordinate an appointment and help provide transportation for the first visit. Families can visit every four months but will need to provide their own transport and schedule appointments in the future.
Children must be 3-21, enrolled in school, and live within one of the following counties (Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Clear Creek, Denver, Douglas, Elbert, Gilpin, Jefferson and Park).
IRC staff can support with the first visit. We will call you to find a good time to take you to choose clothing and shoes for your children. Typically, the children will be in school and therefore only a parent will need go to the appointment. However, if the children would like to go, they are welcome.
Each child will receive at no cost: 5 new pairs of socks, 5 new underwear, 5 shirts, 3 pants, 2 dresses or skirts, 1 pair of shorts, 1 pair of shoes, and one jacket.
Depending on the supply, they may have infant clothing, mittens, hats, and clothes and shoes for parents.
IRC staff will take you to “Clothes to Kids” located at 2890 S. Colorado Blvd. When you arrive, check in at the front desk next to the door. You will share the parent’s name, phone number, children’s name, age, gender, and school name. If you child has not been enrolled yet, we will consider them “homeschooled” for purpose of “school name.”
You may also make your own appointment to shop by calling 720-379-4630 and following the menu prompts. Phones are currently open Tuesday-Friday from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm and Saturdays from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. Please leave a message if they do not answer.
