Denver Health’s LGBT Center of Excellence offers open and affirming healthcare to transgender and gender non-conforming populations. Healthcare providers at nine family health centers and the main campus provide patient navigation, assistance in updating gender identification on credentials, behavioral health and general primary care. Denver Health also offers gender reassignment surgery (confirmation surgery) options.

If you would like additional support, patient navigators are available to attend healthcare appointments with you and your advocates as you become familiar with the Denver Health healthcare system.


PrEP Navigation

Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis, or PrEP, is a daily medication drastically reducing the risk of contracting HIV. Approved for use by the CDC, PrEP is available with a prescription from a physician. Contact Bee the Vibe Program Manager Zack J. (he/they) to be connected with PrEP navigation services. TCR offers a one-on-one discussion on PrEP through Denver Element to help individuals decide whether it is a strategy that suits their sexual health life, as well as providing logistical assistance, connecting to care, and funding the cost of medication.


WPATH Letters

Clinicians at the Transgender Center of the Rockies can help with the World Professional Association of Transgender Health Standard of Care (WPATH-SOC) letters required by some doctors and medical professionals prior to starting hormone replacement therapy or undergoing gender affirming surgeries. 

Fees: One intake, two individual sessions, and letter: $125 (sliding scale options are available)
