Main Services
Survivors of Torture (SOT) Program
Serves individuals and families who have experienced torture with legal and clinical services.
Provides legal consultations and direct representation to immigrant survivors of torture
Represents asylum seekers before the Houston Asylum Office, the Denver Immigration Court, the Board of Immigration Appeals
Connects clients with pro bono representation in their asylum cases and provides mentorship and CLE training opportunities for volunteer attorneys
Afghan Parolee Legal Resource Center
Works with IRC resettlement clients from Afghanistan to find permanent safety and stability in the United States.
Services limited to those assigned to IRC’s Resettlement program
Provides Legal Orientation and Know Your Rights presentations to Afghan individuals and families resettled in Colorado
Partner with law firms, students, and volunteers in the Denver area to host asylum and adjustment of status pro se assistance clinics
Limited in-house representation for Afghans who need assistance with asylum, adjustment, family-based petitions, or family reunification petitions
General Immigration Services
Achieves security and stability for immigrant families who they can thrive.
Provides low-cost and free legal services through direct representation and consultations to help with:
Family-based immigration
Applications for permanent residency (green card) and naturalization/citizenship
Travel documents and Employment Authorization
Asylum Representation and Legal Access Program (“ARLA”)
Helps to provide legal representation and protect the due process and human rights of low-income Denver immigrant residents.
Provides legal assessments and representation to immigrants seeking affirmative and defensive relief from deportation
Asylum, withholding of removal, and CAT
Immigration relief for victims of crimes and/or trafficking
Temporary Protected Status (TPS)
Adjustment of Status & Waivers
Family Reunification Program
Supports international reunification efforts of immigrant and refugee families.
Refugee/Asylee family reunification (“follow-to-join” petitions)
Affidavits of Relationship (P3, CAM, Lautenberg’s)
Family-based immigration & consular processing
